You can find out more about Families For Children here
Families for Children is a Specialist Voluntary Adoption Agency covering the South West, incorporating Dorset, Somerset, Devon, Cornwall, including the Isles of Scilly.
Families for Children are dedicated to placing children from all over the UK into loving, secure and stable homes. The Agency specialises in placing harder to place children, older children, those with complex additional needs and sibling groups.
All of the children we place have experienced various forms of trauma, abuse and neglect. We truly believe each and every child we place deserves to grow into a valued member of society.
At Families for Children we pride ourselves in offering our “forever” policy of adoption support post placement for the lifetime of the child.
2018 is an exciting year for Families for Children, the charity celebrates two special anniversaries. 25 years of the formation of the charity and 70 years of holding our unique archive of adoption records. In addition, the charity has launched the first “Centre of Excellence” in Adoption Support Services.
Families for Children offers a unique Birth Tracing Service, as the agency holds adoptive records dating back to 1948. Both Adoption Support and Birth Tracing are unfunded areas of work and the charity relies heavily on voluntary contributions.
We have chosen two charities that compliment each other so well; they offer help, support and guidance to families.
